Hi all

I have noticed that there are 2 different centre badges on clubman grilles, red ones and blue ones.

What models/years should have what colour?

Leyland Mini = Blue
Mini S = Red

How would one know what model they have?
Any vin/engine/chassis no. giveaways?

(My badge has no colour and is a mash up of all the models)

YG2S7 = Clubman
YG2S8 = GT

Car number starts with 021 = Leyland Mini
Car number starts with 022 = Mini S (and SS, LS and Sunshine)
Unless it is a late 77 and 78 which has a different code system.

I don't know what colour the grill badge is for a Clubman, I think it might be blue but I don't really know.

Whilst on this subject my old man has never worked out why this grille is on his mini. Any ideas?

If you look carefully you can see Leyland going down the plughole...
