Hi All,
Here is my wiper motor currently on the mini. I thought it should be a 2 speed but it’s only got two wires coming out of it. It could have been modified or it could be from some other car, not sure. If it’s only single speed then I’ll be on the lookout for a 2 speed to buy if anyone has one. Thanks.

That is a UK motor, be aware the switch and its wiring are totally different to Oz 1 or 2 speed motor setup.

Yes Simon I know this, it sounded like he wanted a local 2 speed motor...

Thanks guys just trying to get my ducks lined up before rego and they’ll probably require 2 speed wipers. Wasn’t aware that the uk ones were differentt o Australian. I can buy a UK one from minisport uk and fit my gears to it. I’ll just wore up a toggle switch with a relay, I found a tutorial on the net with wiring diagram. Thanks again

Googling that Lucas part number 54071664 seems to confirm it's a single speed unit.

I wonder if you can convert your unit to two speed by simply replacing the brush set? This NOS item has three wires so would seem to be for two speed. No idea if it suits your motor though.

Thanks that’s a good idea. I see mine only has 2 brushes. I would also have to buy a park switch and the wiring plug, or just buy a new wiper motor.
