With all the dodgy parts being produced these days, I have decided to collect as many original new parts as possible to rebuild my Mk2 gearbox.

So far I have found the following original NOS boxed BMC/Leyland/British Leyland parts.

Good work tracking down those parts.

In case you aren't aware MKO has some genuine NOS internal gearbox parts- https://minikingdomonline.com.au/produc ... omponents/

Great collection, especially the synchro rings. Well done.

Too good to be hidden away in the transmission case. Maybe have a clear plastic case made up?

Do you have the other selector fork?

I have only managed to track down one of the original butterfly synchro ring. The other selector fork is being difficult to find (found it). I have found an original 22G1128 case but not sure if I can afford it plus shipping. As for a plastic case, great idea, I wonder what that would cost.

I had to pull out a freshly overhauled gbox a few years ago because 2nd and 3rd synchro not working properly. The gearbox specialist blamed the synchro ring quality. (I wasn't sure if it was the rings or the rebuilder that was the problem..)

Now I am working on getting the case fins repaired. The guy told me a couple of days but it's turning into weeks.

Just got this NOS 2nd Gear.

What period did they actually stamp the part numbers on their gears?
