I have a new clear windscreen for my car but the original Triplex laminated one is in good nick other than a small chip and a scratch.

Does anyone have personal experience regarding the success of repairing a damaged screen?

I had a deep star repaired by a mobile fella from O'Briens...just amazing how the repair just covers the problem and sets completely clear, better than new...

I had a pretty good result with an O'Briens repair to a stone chip. I put on an adhesive repair patch to keep the crap out until repair could be done. I'm not sure about repairing older chips which may be contaminated with road dirt. Best ask the the repairer before you splash the cash.

You can buy the repair kits from supercrap and do it yourself, it's pretty straightforward and if done as soon as possible it comes up really well.
