1. Is there a way to replace the filter located in the left hand tank?
2. Also does the right hand tank also have such a filter?

My 8/70 S has a filter in the RH tank.
Never tried to remove them although Drmini has suggested putting a spike through the outlet spout if you want to seal the inside of the tanks, then fit an external filter under the boot floor before the fuel pump.

I removed my LH one to clean and coat the fuel tank. Never replaced it and just run external filter before pump.

Theoretically increases the risk of blockage as there is only one single circular orifice through which to draw fuel as opposed to much larger (and harder to block) surface area of the filter gauge. Which would be more my concern as opposed to the fuel not being filtered.

However, I've not had any issues and it doesn't keep me awake at night.
