Hello again, long time member but not much happening. Anyway my Mini has progressed with the body painted with a new 1/4 panel and panel under rear bumper. I have just purchased another donor car in poor condition and am wondering what motor it has. Can someone identify this number please? Thanks.

That’s an 1100cc engine

10 = 1098cc
Y = Australia
Ta = Standard-ratio remote control gearbox, non- synchromesh first gear
H = high compression

Originally from a 1967 Morris 1100. Car number probably in the 62400s.

Here is a passport to service for one just before that engine number.
