Looks like a fun project! I love those chrome wheel trims, do you have a complete set?

It looks fantastic, but don't spoil the genuine patina.
Its good to see that someone finally followed the advice to not jack it up under the floor sills .... and used the roof sills instead.
Have Fun. Dave D

Yes Timmy a complete set as well as hubcaps in perfect condition.
Dave you should see the other shell. Someone in the past has decided to use the traditional method of strapping them to a trailer with a rope over the roof.

Am tempted to do all the repairs and leave the outside as is. Will see what direction I take when I start pulling it apart.

Flushed fuel tank and changed the plugs, running much better now - it was really struggling and low on power, my mind went to the worst case scenario of a burnt valve or glazed rings but in the end it was a simple fix!

The shell looks great for an unrestored car, it's amazing how well 850's stand up to rust (thanks rotodip!). Good luck with the project, looks like a good solid starting point.

I drove mine to fill it with 98, more litres than dollars :)

Then checked the rev limit is still set at 8500 :)

Pulled the passenger door apart on my 69 K to try and resolve a droopy handle. Good result with the handle but the door not quite all back together yet due to thunder and hail storm.

Today, I drove my Mini Cooper S to buy something at the supermarket, and at the end of the day, I took it to the car wash to clean it. On free weekends I can take time to wash my car.

Turned the car over today for the first time in a very long time.
Carby needle valve stuck open so just ended up with fuel all over the floor.
Tomorrow’s job.

Fixed an oil leak on the oil pressure gauge line hose (std Matic and Cooper).
I replaced the 50 year old original Dunlop hose 5 years ago with the current Minispares 1/8" hose. New clamps supplied didn't clamp until fully closed up. So recently it leaked.
This time I fitted 3mm fuel injection hose. Very tight fit.
Cable ties cinched up on the ends.
No leaks now. ;)

Dry assembled the 1275 1100s block and did some measuring and add ups of bits needed to get it complete before sending off to the machine shop. Figured it has sat for long enough in pieces and had no spares left over. Will be 40 over and crankshaft will need a machine on the mains and big ends also. Open up the wallet and watch it get drained quickly
