Hi,
Does anyone have an original bonnet that they can measure the hole positions for me for the Mk1 badge as fitted to 850s etc?

I have searched this, the Mk1 forum and TMF and can find nothing definitive for the Morris bonnet - plenty on the Morris boots and Austin bonnets, but nothing that helps.

I have positioned this template 2" up from the leading edge of the bonnet but this looks a bit high to me.

Cheers, Paul.

G'day Paul,

Can take some measurements tomorrow as my bonnet is at the panel shop and getting primed ready for paint tonight. Mine is a 1963 850 - is that what you're chasing?

As a matter of interest, what colour is that?

Cheers, Rocky

Paul,

Holes are 1" 13/16ths or 46mm from edge of bonnet to centre of holes.

Thanks Rocky, exactly what I was after.

Not sure what the green is (maybe Tamarisk) - it was this colour when I bought it, original colour was Crystal white.

Cheers, Paul
