I got this during the week, I’ve been looking for a solution for my indicator stalk for a while and finally found someone selling them

You can see how mine had been fixed in the past by my grandpa. Not his best work :)

The red wire needs to get unsoldered from the column end, then the old broken bit gets removed and it all comes out. Next is a quick clean up of the end of the stalk and the electrical contacts

The plastic end is pressed on first, then the spring and the bulb holder. The wire gets resoldered and then it’s ready to go!

I got it from the user Moita over on http://mk1-forum.net/ . It was about $50 including post which is a lot cheaper than buying a new cheap repro one, and it means I get to keep the original one with the right date code :D

The whole unit is BMC part # 2A6215 (Lucas # 31945), don't know if they had a separate number for the plastic end.

I received 2 of them 2 weeks ago.He is utterly reliable and I heartily recommend both he and his product. During my last talk with him, he did indicate that he might do another batch. You can contact him through the Mk1 Forum .He is in Portugal. The fit onto the shaft is spot on and is really well machined

I hope that he does restock them, as you say they are very nicely made and even the thread was perfect straight from the parcel.

He could sell hundreds of them, I’m not sure why they aren’t a regular stocked item anywhere.
