Hi All

I just needed to know what material they used to undercoat (inside wheel wells, and underbody) on an Australian mini.

Mine needs to be re done. Looks like the outer skin is peeling but does not expose metal. Can I remove all the loose coating and paint it again with the same stuff? Or is there a better material I can use without taking it back to bare metal

My amateur understanding of these coatings as they are now used is that the underside of the floor is referred to as 'sound deadener' - has a ripple finish but a colour coat won't adhere to it well (the factory never colour-coated under the floor anyway); the wheel arches are coated in 'stone guard' which is also a ripple finish but can be colour-coated as per factory finish.
