G'day people, Just wandering what people do with their old skid plates when doing a restoration. We're these a originally zinc plated? I take it they weren't shiny???? Cleaning mine up and they have rust in some parts and can't put them on a restoration |

Sorry I don't have the full length hydro pipe covers, but for what it's worth, the four "corner" ones on my 1966 S are galvanised, as are a spare set that I have. |

They are made from galvanised sheet. I treated the sections of rust on mine with rust converter, hammered them flat and then touched up with zinc gal spray. Attachment: Zinc Gal Paint.jpg
