there are these for $1075

http://www.minidirectaus.com/web/Item/C ... Detail.cfm

I believe this is everything needed to put discs up front for 12" and 13" wheels.

Now, I have a question. Has anyone fitted the later type brake servo and master cylinder to an Aussie mini? I believe there are changes to the pedal box needed. What are they? Is it possible?

I know, I know, servos don't assist braking only make it easier under normal braking, but as a lot of us, we have our hearts set on certain features for our minis and I definitely want to run a split braking system.

You could run a late Clubbie tandem master cylinder, with a VH44 servo on the front circuit only. It works, no problem. 8)

Late Clubbies from `77? had a dual system. A VH44 servo is same as MK2 S and Marina etc. You can buy new for $450 or so, or get one from a wrecker and rekit it.

Rear brakes are pressure limited anyway and will still get the same pressure as now when braked hard.

13secmini has one set up like this, using 8.4 Metro ventilated 4 pots. I know of several othe Clubbies with S brakes, VH44 servo and tandem system. Yes it works OK!!

There's a Blue `78 Clubbie running around Sydney with this system, but using 9" Honda Civic discs & calipers in 12" Performance wheels. The disc brake setup only cost him around $300...
It will put you thru the screen except for the seatbelts..

hmm.. I wonder though. I do want discs but .. honda discs is a new idea. I'd already accepted the cost for 8.4s. I take it that the hondas are better though

Sounds good but I need the 7.5inch variety to stay away from flares...

Just fit 12x5 Performance mags without any spacers or spacer drums.. presto, 9" brakes and no flares!
