Out for a drive today, mini ran like a (insert expletive here.) At part throttle, whether going up through the gears or cruising , accelerating gives initial response but after few seconds the engine bogs down accompanied by visible black smoke which stops as soon as acc pedl is released. Did not do this last time out & nothing done to engine since. Any ideas, clever or otherwise.? |

Had a similar issue. Was the float needle valve that was stuck open, flooding the engine with fuel, so blew smoke like you described. |

Thanks for that, I had actually discounted the float valve as the last time I had that fault the symptoms were significantly different but now having thought about you may well be onto it. I will check it. Thanks again. |
