Hi All, my car has 3 holes across the firewall, presumably for heater control cable and choke. I was wondering if the 3rd (circled) is supposed to be filled, or blanked off with a grommet from factory?
Can anyone advise?
Cheers.

Two are used for heater and choke cable with a CAM5969 grommet, the other blanked off with a rubber plug.

On my MK II S the two outer holes are used and the one inboard of the hole on the far left of your photo is blanked off.
