Does anyone have the Paint Code for New British Racing Green for a Morris Mini?

Thanks

There’s a lot of information in the How To section, including paint codes.

I haven't been able to find a New BRG formula.
They changed the formula for BRG and Cedar Green in early 1966.
The colour charts were only updated with the New Cedar Green. It appears they forgot to add the New BRG formula.

At a guess they might be using the standard BRG or colour matching a non faded area of their car. The colours are almost identical but reformulated for durability. New paints do the same thing anyway. They use different tinters to give the same colour.

That's what most people do if there is still some original painted area on the body shell. The most convenient is the rear number plate flap as its small enough to take to the paint shop for colour matching, and has both a "faded" side facing out and a hidden "unfaded" side.

PPG Paraglaze does BRG. There is an early and late code and the change was in 1964 so if you go with BRG then make sure its the later 0862.

Just another thought

If your on Facebook then you might try a chap by the name Ian Thorn. - https://www.facebook.com/groups/4427759 ... 705248803/

I think he has recently repainted his BRG and New BRG cars

Ok, so where does the '70 MK2 S colour : Connaught Green 12178 fit in the mix ? I have seen codes GN-18(connaught green) and GN-25(BRG) used for Connaught green.

GN-18 and GN-25 are UK colours which are different to ours.

I thought so. Does anyone know of a ppg/protech paint code for the Australian colour?

I've just painted Barney Connaught Green (GN18) to match the Cooper Works cars.
