As seen in the photo, there are 2 holes on either side of the central wiring hole.

Are these holes used for wiring and if so what wires are fed though each of the extra holes?

This question is for me rewiring my car following my wiring heat problem which I have yet to solve.

They are access holes for a screwdriver from under the parcel shelf to screw the speedo binicall to the bulkhead , not for wiring

Cannot help with the holes but if that is the speedo wiring then with the lamp out of the blue white lampholder then the continuity that you measured on the headlight wire should now be gone.
