Hi , I dragged an old 12g 202 cylinder head out of the garage and started
dismantling it . I am fairly certain it has not been modified in any way .
Question is when looking down the 2 inlet ports there is virtually no
divider to guide gases into the separate cylinders . Does this sound right
or maybe at some stage there has been a grinder in there ?
Regards , Winston .

Only 1 cylinder is drawing at a time so all the mixture will go where it is needed.

For the sake of comparison to your cylinder head, this is a 202 head I have, looking down the inlet port to the divider. It was ported by Lynx engineering in the '70s.
It is a bit hard to get the right lighting for a clear image (I've got better colonoscopy photos).
But I think you can see original casting marks on the divider, how far back in the throat it is and no signs of grinding/polishing either.

Hi Winston 5454
That is std for a 202.
Hi Steam
The mini has 2 inlet valves open at a time that is why the try to scatter the cam 1 and 4 different to 2and 3.

G'day Graham,
But surely only 1 is drawing as I said?

Due to inlet cam duration there is a time when both are open. 2nd one robs charge from the first.
