A bunch of Mini fans have started a club in Wagga. Sixteen members so far and potentially 34 on the books.

Welcome! :D

I believe they have affiliated themselves with the NSWMCC mainly because the ACT Mini Car Club was a little slow in determining whether our registrar could do Concessional Registration for NSW based members (turns out we can ....oh well....),

What the NSWMCC can also offer is competition for those interested (we are not CAMS affilitated....too poor :( )

So ....if you live near Wagga and are keen, then contact Tim at Autopro Wagga and join up. However, the ACT Mini Car Club will also welcome you as we have members in Forbes, Dubbo, Sy-d-ney  etc

Happy Mini-ing

Mick

Hey, I got a heater... its got a compressor wheel, a turbine wheel and it gets real hot after a few seconds on the LOUD pedal !

its weird, you freeze your arse off, hit the pedal, and you are sweating......

Gotta love a turbo......

So, we on ?

LMAO, I can just see a Bleed Air heater setup off the intake into the cabin. That would certainly keep ya toasty

I did a Brass Monkey run with the CCBCC and the Austin Healey Club.....
Middle of winter, if you had a soft-top, it had to be down, otherwise, all windows open / no heaters.....

Anyone caught dis-obeying the rules either had to have a certificate from their doctor, or had to buy all the beer for the weekend !!!!!!

I think we may be onto something here.........

Canberra Guys, Where are we going to meet ?
Whats the Best Route to Wagga ?
Whole Weekend ? or just the day ?

C'mon lets help our "Western Brothers" Celebrate the formation of their new Club by freezing our Nads off !!

Chat soon

Brass monkey run? I used to drive like that all the time! No heater, and I had to wind the windows down or I'd asphyxiate from the blow by smoke that filled the cabin. Driving at 11pm in the middle of a Canberra winter? Priceless.....

Canberra Guys, Where are we going to meet ?

ACT Mini Car Club meets at Deakin Sports and Social Club, third Wednesday of the month (OMG! that's this Wednesday!) so that migh be as good a place as any....alternatively, any one comeing from Sy-d-ney usually end up coming straight down Northbourne Avenue and there are a couple of Service Stations which are good for meeting places (the Shell on the right hand side coming into Watson is one example)

Whats the Best Route to Wagga ?
Straight down the Hume....2.5 hours....being really careful to watch your speed on the Sturt Hwy coming into Wagga. There is a Wagga member's house at Gumly Gumly just past the RAAF Base which might also be a good place to rendezvous

Whole Weekend ? or just the day ?
Up to you, it is hard for people to committ to a whole weekend, then again, in the Oct long weekend we have a run lined up to Wagga

If you are serious, let me know numbers and I will put you in touch with some people.

Great place - Wagga Wagga!

I lived in Wagga from Feb 93 to Jul 96, when I was studying at Uni. Back then I was sorta between Minis. :(

Never would have left if there had been any IT work available.

Ditto! I spent only 1 year out there. Love it. The thing I noticed the most was the clean air and the stars at night. Don't have either in the big smoke.
