Well well, boys and girls, i have finally found the SINGLE document i have been searching for over the past 6 years - the FREE version of the South Australian Motor Vehicle Standards!!!!

The SA Government has been telling me that i can BUY a copy on CDROM, but i refused, and so have many other people......

Here, now, i have for all us SOUTH AUSTRALIANS (and interstaters who might be interested) the link to the PAGE THAT MATTERS.

http://www.parliament.sa.gov.au/Catalog/legislation/Regulations/R/1999.235.htm

Note: Division 1, Paragraph 32 : "Seating" ---- Lots of info here

Oh, and they use a Mini in the diagrams too!!!!!! 8)

Now all i need is the FREE copy of the ADR's, and i'll be set.

The idea is to carry both of these booklets (or should i say encyclopedias) in your car, and SHOW the nasty cop that he is WRONG!!! "...IN YOUR FACE, SUCKER..."

WHAT??? Never heard of a SPY cam before???

The trick with that is, before the cop begins his whole " I am God, you will obey" thing, you need to say: "Officer, please note that EVERYTHING you do and say in this conversation is being video taped and voice recorded for both future reference and video evidence.... Now, please refer to these Australian Design Rules for a minute..."

Watch his attitude change.... they get very defensive, but you have a legal right to do this
