there are two nuts on either side of the bootlid
they are vertically arranged.
both of my bottom ones are loosening due to rust in the bootlid and hinge.
the top ones seem fine.
theres the obvious option of getting a new bootlid but that means repainting etc.
is there something else, like depositing molten metal into the hole and tapping with the new robot on star trek?

First thing to do is get some rust convertor so that the rust won't spread. If you want a temporary fix, get some larger washers. that will give the nut something to hold to. I personally would get another boot lid. But, hey that will tide you over until you find one, and paint it. Just make sure you hit it with some rust convertor first.

Cheers

Aaron

Duc, if you buy a Makka special, like it did, spare a few weeks to fix it up.... :D

I bought one off Makka for $30, but it was pretty rooted. No rust, but not very straight......

Nah seriously, see Makka if you want to buy one. The guy has everything!

yea I looked at importing one of those before I went to Makka. If I had the bux I would, but shipping on that item was a killer.
