hi guys!
long time no post!
i finaly worked out after redoing the head that the rings are gone!!
i have a chance to get a 850 in realy good order.The engine number is 8Y/U/H14962. The engine is from a 1964 mini with a '' magic wand" type 4-speed,3-synchro gearbox
this is my prob!
will it fit into my 77 leyland pano?
and do i have to mod anything?
can i use the twin su's of the 1100?
can i use my stractors?
any help would be of some asistance!!!!!

Yeah it will fit in there, but...
Gearbox will have no synchro on 1st gear, motor will have no torque compared to an 1100,and will be about 18HP down in power,

You really don't know how good it is until you run it...

Yes you can use the carbs and extractors, but the above still stands.

I'd go find another 1098, plenty about- or rebuild the one U got.

Or if you have the $$$$, go grab a 1275 and discs..... :wink:

its all good but i dont have the time or the money to rebild a motor and box. to be honest i am geting it redy to sell!!! :shock:
as much as we love the little beast i am over working on the damn thing!! :x

unless someone has a cheap 1100 in good order! at a good price..... Cash is a bit tite at the moment :cry:
