I would like a 45, I might try and find one.

How much would porting cost? and 36 chokes?

I reckon those Metros in Melbourne are a good deal. For $675 you get the whole deal including a rodchange box (sell if you don't need). Heck it might even be a runner..

By the time you go hunt down a 1275 block, crank, head, rods, cam, pushrods, drop gears and all the bits and pieces you could spend that, or more. Then you have to reco it.. :cry:

You can see why up until now I have had a 1098 motor! I suspect that the rings are on the way out anyway. Good thing is, with 20 thou over pistons in it I can just get another 998/1098 block, bore it out and transfer internals!

i got one of those metro's drmini.
gotta pull it apart first and work out what needs doing. :wink:

good guy, spoke straight forward, wasnt out to earn my $2.
i recommend him to all u fellas, he imports lots of stuff from the UK.

he's on ausmini. user miniimports i think.

Nah- by the time the rings are **** the pistons ring lands will be too. Go buy some bigger ones... +.060" will get you 1152cc.. :P

i agree, Josh is great. I bought my brake setup from him. No hassles, easy to deal with and everything was prompt from email replies to getting the gear 8)
