My 1993 rover mini would be worth about $18,000.

I agree with the attitude of "mine is priceless". To us owners they are worth what we think they are, and to most of us, that's priceless.

I didn't count how much I spent on mutant and don't really care. After all, it's only money, and what I don't have, doesn't matter anymore. Sold off my other two minis (GT and mini matic) to fund mutant so to me it's definitely priceless.

My '66 Deluxe (up to this point, we're still counting...) has cost around $10.5k, not including postage/freight costs. (And "Yes", I've kept the receipts and a log)

And I still haven't got to the engine.

This is my 3rd Mini, and so I'm doing it properly this time, including a lot of parts directly from the UK. I've managed to score a heap of bargains, but it keeps adding up.

I'm lucky though, my wife is understanding, she originally said a budget of $5k, but the bug has bitten her big time. :D

I'll post some pics as soon as I work out how.

I paid a bottle of Chivas Regal ($40) for my `70 MiniMatic originally. It was sitting in a garden with moss growing on one side around the windows... lots of parts missing. I got the motor to run, but only reverse gear worked but I stripped the box and fixed that.

I then bought a Clubbie for $1,500 that had a 1310S motor, MK2 S box, 45 Dellorto, S disc brakes, S hydro displacers, twin tanks. Was cheap 'coz the head gasket was blown and its owner couldn't be bothered fixing it.

A while later after the MiniMatic was painted, I swapped all the mechanicals around between both cars, then sold the `auto Clubbie' for $2K.

So, I finally put the 1310S/MiniMatic on the road for $5K. That was 9 years ago. Probably worth about $4K now, it goes hard but needs new paint. Won't happen until 850/1293 is back on the road, but that's another story..

Mine i Bought it for $500, A bog stock std, 998 clubby, still with original pea shooter exhaust! Gotta love it! i pick it up tomorrow. My son's car well that's a diffeent story. Probably spent 8k buying painting and would sell for about 12k, as parts of course, you never get what you outlay as a whole car, there worth more as parts. Probably the only way the van would be sold.

The van cost me $1000 in Dec 96. It was straight, almost rustfree and had already had some work done on it.
After painting, engine and brake rebuild, interior bits etc it owes me between $6,000 and $6,500. It's getting a little tatty from daily use and is probably worth $5,000 now.

The Traveller cost mne nothing but two days trailer hire ($100) and some fuel for the two car. It was sitting in a farmers paddock and he GAVE it to me. My favourite model Mini and it was free! :D I reckon i'd get $1,500 - $2,000 for it if I sold, but I won't!

I swapped a clean Morris 1100S for the Moke and an 1100S engine. The Morris cost me $410 so I figure the Moke cost me around $200. Projected finished cost is $4,200 - $4,500 which is roughly what it will be worth. I'm keeping a spreadsheet on this one and entering every penny, so I really know what I have spent on it.
