Hey guys!!

I was going thru my boxes of goodies when i found a head i had bought a while back.. There's one problem - it has no ID stamp... Maybe someone on AUSMINI can be of help?? I'm THINKING its a 12g206, but i'm not sure

Here are the features....

It has a few codes casted on top. "18C7" is behind the thermostat housing, "ECAM" and "4004" are left of the 4th rocker post.

The port face is totally flat, with "19 9 01" stamped under the centre valve - so it has obviously been modified...

The inlet ports are round, and taper gradually from 24mm internally to 29.5mm at the face.

Exhaust ports are rectangular.
#1 and #3 ports are 25mm high and 20.5mm wide.
#2 exhaust port is 26mm high and 23.5mm wide.

It has a temp sender. There are also 4 plugs along the spark plug face, 1 next to each spark.....

Someone toldl me it could be a 12g202, but i cant find that code.....
Can anyone identify this head and maybe tell me if these ports are normal / crap??

Much appreciated!
Nathan

CAM 4004, `smog 998' head.

Nothin' special- basically it's a 12A1456 head, (ie stock 998) with the air injection ports added.

A 12G202 (1098) head is better to modify, as ports are bigger & square inside. 8)

Errr, the air injection was into the exhaust ports after the valves... put nitrous in there & it would probably oxy cut the exhaust, do little else... 8)
