Where do you get the supercharger kit for $400?? Do you need a motor rebuild for a supercharger kit? That's my longer term plan, want a supercharged mini!

I've done the conversion myself, using imorted Jap parts when necessary. Of course the motor needs rebuilding to take boost - cam change, distributor mods, head mods, bottom end strengthening, cooling mods..... it all depends on how fast you want to go

Careful on the DIff side of things,

I have always been told that it is a sin to use different diff housings on gearboxes as they are machined as a pair - and as a result can cause excessive oil leaks.
I am sure in most cases it would be sweet but it is something to keep an eye on .....

You can usually get away with this, particularly on the later cases.

Years ago it was common to stick a remote diff housing onto an 850 magic wand box.

Worth checking though, by bolting it on with gaskets, and measuring the bearing bores for roundness with a vernier, before you stick the diff in.

the only reason i havent gone to the later gear selector is because the engine/gearbox/diff was free with the car.... when i cook it / run out of gears / snap a crank, the engine will be scrapped, and the BIGGER motor i'm building (low compression 1380, supercharged of course) will take its place.....

Until then, the wand and diff will stay as is..... it's purely experimental and i expect it to self destuct within a week...
