Hi guys, i've finally got around to starting on replacing my rusty floor. It turns out that the rust is in the drivers footwell, and extends back under the box section that the seats are mounted on.

is it a good idea for me to cut away the box section, then fix up the floor underneath it, then weld the box section back in again? has anyone done this before? im looking for the best option.

drill the spot welds out and then grind the floor out then when you put the new section in use the original spot weld marks also when doing this on the underside of the car there is a plate that your brake power (hydrolines if car is hydro) and fuel (which runs down passengerside)remove it then b4 you weld everything inplace use this plate to get the pan in the correct place
