how do you fit rubbers for the triangle window in the front of mini's?

i fit my drivers side because the pin at the bottom could be knocked out,
passenger side is still tight in both pins so i cant get to it

(are they called quarterlight windows?)

Yup, that's the quarterglass. Do you want to change the rubber while its fitted to the door, or take the entire quarterglass frame out?

im pretty sure u gotta take out that whole glass then there's a bolt underneath it that the window pivots on that u can take out to get the window out....otherwise i gues u could put a small slit in the rubber on the inside and wedge it in there if u can.

bit of a fiddle just for a seal but i guess its better than getting wet when it starts to pour.

i would like to change the rubber, easy/hard way, either way.

when i take the door trim off and stick my hand through a hole, i can feel a little bolt-like thing holding the bottom pin in, but cant get to it (space is like 2inches between there)

can you tell me your own ways of changing the rubber, cuttting it or not?

I've not done one lately, but-
Should be able to drop the window, undo 2 screws at top, one inside- the quarter vent window is attached to the front window runner channel, it will all come out together, then you can see what you are doing... .

I havent done one in bloody ages, but here goes.

Three screws hold the frame to the door. One on top and two on the forward edge. They hold the quarterglass frame in. The quarterglass frame is also attached to the forward runner track for the sliding glass.

With yer trim off, undo the two bolts to the forward runner track for the sliding glass. You should then be able to tilt the frame and runner track back away from the front edge of the door. You may need to peel some bailey channel out to get the room ya need. When dragging the whole thing out, bring it to the inside of the window frame.

When reinstalling the frame to the door, and adjusting it all, have the sliding window about half way up.

Are the instructions above same for all Mini's with quarter glass..?

its the next set of rubbers I have to change over.
