What's the worst job you have had to do on a Mini?

I reckon I found mine today........fitting all the internals into a door.... Spent hours today fitting the 1/4 vent window, sliding glass, window winder, door lock and barrel....etc..... Just finished one door tonight and the lock doesn't work!! Looks like I have to remove the lock mechanism tomorrow.....

BUGGA!

I was thinking about putting this topic up as i struggled to get the u-bolts into the unviversal joints on Sunday. it helps to wind the hilos off and make the driveshaft more in line with the gearbox, and especially helps to have straight u-bolts that will actually go into the holes. a couple taps with the BFH cured that, but i still needed three hands to lift driveshaft, slide the joint together, line up the rubber, and slot the u-bolt in

fixed that one when i had to get into the car when i forgot the keys at the supersprint  broke lock, swapped handles with passenger side so it would pass scrutineering, then it came out somewher on track :)

I still say the Radiator out special when the P/O has put the bottom hose clamp around the wrong way
Some may say the Rack and pinion :?:

And I told you it would take a weekend to do 2 doors properly, wasn't far out was I.

I think the worst thing is that bloody circlip on the Deluxe/S outer door handle. But I found you can do without it if you pre-bend the c-channel thingy out a bit. :P

Love it mick.
Yeah leyland really ****ed up with the locks and handles. The pins on them are all starting to fatigue and break now have u noticed. I've done my passenger one a month ago and i keep having to push one of the pins back in on the drivers side.
