Ok Guys, as the font of all knowledge, i thought i would ask you guys first....

Where the hell can you get White-wall inserts for various size wheels ?

I'd love a set of 17" for the BSA, but thinking more, i think the Brick would look fantastic with Red Rims and Whitewalls when i get if finally painted in Pthalo-Cylene (sp?) Blue...

Little Help ?
J

do you mean white wall tyres james??? if so this place does it to any tyre.

White walling
Colour Craft
0419 214969
Roseberry

cost for 17" wheels he puts a 8-10 mm white wall costing $120 for all 4 wheels

takes approx 1 hour to do.

tyres must have 1000km of travel on them already otherwise oil comes through white wall and **** them (colour wise only)
The way they do the white walls is jack the car up, run a shallow grove around the tyres and fill it with a silcon rubber, to any colour u please.

i love white walls........all old school cars look great with them on. Always dreamed of putting them on the mini....one day maybe.

Theres a mobile guy that lived out my way that used to do them. Cant remember his name though Jim :(

Styla made the original clip on white walls as an accesory for minis, deflate tyre push edge under rim and re-inflate, These are like hens teeth but can be ordered through vintage tyres. Mikey and I will be getting 3 sets shortly for the Elf another for the black mini K van and a spare set to go with some older ones we have. They have a tendency to do a seagull inpersonation, that's what they look like when they come of on the highway and it does happen. At $150 or so a set of 4, no spare they aren't cheap. Maybe if more are ordered they would be cheaper. I'm trying to locate UK source . The many people that lay an incert of latex are pretty good and cheap and do a variety of colours.

Steve, thats what i wanted to hear !

I think they were called "Spats" at one time......

I also remember the name "Atlas" for some reason.....

I was actually watching "World Chopper Challenge" or some such shite, and the pommie entry had big, fat red rims with large whitewall inserts..... THATS the look for me !

Thanks all, I'll do a little ring-around

J

Mikey really is the one with all the details and numbers of places that put the incerts in. I think I have a picture of an 850 Earls Court BMC display stand mini wearing Atlas clip on white walls with the word Atlas outlined in black raised type.

Spats are metal flaps that fill the rear wheel arch hidding the tyre from veiw, Mikey is looking into having them manufactered for the black mini K van.

Hey i watched that series too, bloody aussies got ripped off big time, there bike was 3 times better than the stupid yank crap. See how much bog they put into that usa bike, then put some wild paint on it and they won it :(
Aussie bike didnt have 1mm of bog in it, all polished hand bent aluminum.
