OK guys, I finally got to have a read of The Mini Experience mag.

Overall, I was very impressed. It's great to read a local mag with local content....I think all will agree.

May I suggest that the people involved in submitting content for the magazine be a little bit more broadminded...... :? I had to look VERY HARD to find any clubbies in the mag. I think I can count them on one hand....and that is including clubbies pictured in car show group shots. Even the readers own cars section was full of roundies, with no clubbies in site.

I AM NOT TRYING TO REVIVE THE CLUBBY Vs ROUNDIE DEBATE, but honestly, why do we have to have a 'Mini' magazine full of roundies? If you want to take a look at the market for such a mag, you will find a lot of young Mini drivers own clubbies, and would more than likely be thrilled to buy the mag and read about a few clubbies.

So guys, congrats on a great local mag, but can we see a more diverse coverage of Mini's please?

*****************************
Please, spare the boring and tired jokes about clubbies....us clubby owners have heard them ALL before and you only sound like a DICK when you say / write them.

Anton

Offer ther resto of JAM as a series of articles for the mag. You have plenty of photos, hopefully good enough quality to print. Check with Watto. I'm sure that the readership of the mag will enjoy the story as much as we have looking at your web site. Then you will have the ultimate clubbie story :D

Cheers Mick, I would think JAM would be worthy if it was finished....so the journey could be shown from start to finish. Got a couple of months to go there....

Brad, your Mini is worthy...definitely!

Craigs 2005 Calender also does not have a Clubby...therefore he obviousy agrees that roundies are better 8) (just stirring...don't get off ya bikes!)

For the first issue, I still say it was great, plenty of time to get the balance right and cater to everybodys likes and dislikes....he is listening! :D

Can we all remember the complaints about the UK mags being full of advertising etc....and help Craig to produce a popular and profitable magazine :D

I agree, there should be clubbies in there (*cough*ditchtheBMWs*cough* ;)). A full feature on Brad's car would be tops...

I am listening. I drive a Clubby van and a half, by the way. I drive mine every day. It has been on just about every major road, and plenty of minor roads and dirt tracks, from Hobart to Bundaberg.
As for readers' cars: if you don't send them, we can't print them. Did the person complaining about no Clubbies in the mag miss the article on Pp 30-31about the Minis for hire? Maybe the pages stuck together. Then there was the full-page shot of "Jumping Bean" inside the back cover, and the Willson boys from Tassie.
I'm just saying, I'm not biassed (I even include the BMW MINI). It's just a matter of the articles being done as they come and as they fit the theme of the mag.
I am interested, at the very least for the Readers' Cars pages, in both clubbies mentioned. And certainly in Brad's gold one for a feature. The other one, we'll see when it's finished.
The calendar: well, that was an oversight in not having a clubby. No reason. I have had one in every other issue, two in 2002 and three in 2001.

Watto.
