hey all

i went to mini bits in melbourne on tuesday and bought a full set of window and door seals, they cost me $535!!! i know they have to make money but s*it thats expensive, my carpet set which i also bought cost me $260+ $30 for the underlay! then when we looked in the english mini sport catolougue it was 30 pounds..... roughly $88 :? the rest of our family live in england and it would be cheaper for them to buy my stuff and send it out! but im not because they arent quite as mini minded as the rest of us 8)

Most of the window rubber set it quite reasonable on price. It's the 1/4 vent rubbers that bump the price up.If you take a closer look at the english kit, it doesn't come with the quater vents seal(as no pommy car has them)
Carpet kits are slightly different aswell, the floor pans mould differently.
You can buy cheap carpet kits over in australia, but i don't sell them on the fact that they don't fit well enough.

Whatever you buy, there is always varying qualities that effect price. Most times it is better to pay a little extra and get a product you will be happy with.

So what do you recommend? I've heard that the moulded ones need to be glued down, which I'm less than keen on, but the 9 piece 'edge-trimmed' ones don't look quite so neat.

Fot the cost of that carpet you could have probably gone to the trimmers and had one made which was perfect.

I get mine made from a local trimmer, so he can tailor the carpet to your needs.
It's a nine piece kit, looks good.

JAM has moulded carpet. I reckon the front side parts that cover the wheel wells needs to be glued. The rest is fine.
