l am undecided as to what brakes to run and would value peoples opinion.
l have four choices.
1 At present l have metro 4 pot ventilated discs which needs an adjustable front supension kit to rectify steering geometry. Cost of kit approx $350.00 to $400.00
2. Sell metro discs and go the honda disk brake conversion route. Will also need to buy a second hand brum brake front end .Cost approx $500.00?
3. Sell metro discs and and buy 1275 discs cost Unknown.
4. Sello metro discs and go the camira disc conversion route cost unknown.

i would keep what you have. Buying other people's gear, ie cooper s disc's you don't know if you are getting , they may need all sorts of extras to get them to a good std. if you go the honda or camira route you may (others maybe able to confirm or deny this, i have't had much to do with them) have to buy the adjustables anyway to correct your geometry anyway.

I've been told all you need to rectify probs using Metro hubs, is a pair of 1.5* neg camber bottom arms. If so, shouldn't cost much at all. Maybe $200 tops. If correct I'd do that and keep the 4 pots.

There is another option- get 2 Cooper or Cooper S swivel hubs and hang your brakes & CVs off them. Geometry will then be correct.

re. the Hondas & Camiras- fitting these discs to the stock drum swivel hubs does not affect the alignment, as the swivel hubs and steering arms etc stay stock.
Indeed the Hondas can be fitted without even taking the swivel hubs off the car!
Track width -flange to flange with both setups (with 25mm `spacer' on the Hondas) is as per a Cooper S.

basicallt the thing that makes the metro brake geometry out is the hubs and steering arms. This can easilly be fixed with a set of mini hubs and arms. Hard part is actually finding a pair of hubs for it. Took me a year to get a set.

You can do as dr said fit adjustable lower control arms, that will fix your camber, but maybe not your toe in, need adjustable tie rod ends too.

Secondly when using cooper or cooper s hubs and steering arms does the metro discs and calipers fit straight on or do they or the hubs need to be modified ?

Generally will go straight on. Metro caliper mount holes are 10mm and the Mini hubs are tapped 3/8" but that's only 0.5mm clearance. They bolt up OK. According to 13secmini and justminis.
