Theres a Morris 1100 at the U-Pullit at Elizabeth which is full of parts.
Disk & Drum brake parts, master cylinders,radiator expansion tanks etc.The car has disk brakes and I'm wondering if any of it can be used in a mini disk brake conversion ?

The stud pattern is different, so you can't use them. I'm sure others will add upon the differences.

It can be done using an adaptor plate on the Mini drum uprights, similar work to the Honda conversion. Disks and callipers will not fit under 10" wheels.

The master cylinder is a good one for a disk brake Mini. I think it is the same as a MkI Cooper S - tall tin type.

EDIT: Also the front CV's are the same as Mini disk brake ones.

everyone is missing the obvious - go get that car right now cos I bet you $10 that it's got a 1275 in it - it's a morris 1100S - look at the motor, if you can put your finger on the head between the rocker cover and the thermostat housing then it's a 1275

the disks are no good, the uprights are too tall & you end up with no suspension travel

I don't think its a Morris 1100S.Engine number is 10YTaH 42713.
I guess I won't worry about the brakes but I did score what I think is a MiniK gearbox which looks in reasonable condition.It was on the back seat under everything else.

10Y= Morris 1100 (1098cc) engine. Nothing special.

Mini K and late Morris 1300 (and some 1100?) gearboxes with 4synchro had 22G1128 cast into them.

Probably just a Morris 1100 remote one- they look similar to a K box outside. Check the casting number on front of box.. :wink:

If its had an engine swap then its also had the plate swapped,still hanging on with one rivet.
I don't know about a brake swap but there was certainly enough old disks and calipers lying around it.

All Morris 1100s had disks. They were the first car built in Aus to have them standard.

All Morris 1300s had auto gearboxes (some have been converted since)

There are a lot of bits and pieces that will fit a mini.

I thought there were some Morris 1300 (not 1100S) manuals?
