Hi All, I was asked recently if there is a Cooper S registry in Australia. I'm fairly sure I recall either the QLD, NSW or VIC Mini CC having such a registrar (big help aye!!).

I heard that the BMC Heritage group in Australia had thought about trying to peg production figures but most of the paperwork had been lost. I know that Gaydon in the UK can sometimes help....so thay must have some data on Aussie cars.

Is this a state by state thing?? signed wondering.....

Hi,
There is a Cooper S register in QLD, however as it is a volunteer process I'm not sure how many cars are on it.

Thanks Gezo, it has been pointed out to me that this sort of info would be beneficial to criminals....sort of a Mini Gone in 60 Seconds!!

Guys that is exactly the reason I never register those details. I used to be a cop in QLD and recall a guy who had his LJ Torana XU1 stolen from his garage 2 weeks after registering it on a similar register. He had recently moved there and had not driven it since his move The car was parked in a locked garage, behind his daily car and had a chain over the drive shaft bolting it to the concrete floor, but still it was pinched, while he was at work. The boys in the computer nerd squad looked into it and said that the site had "worm holes" ??????? in it, but couldnt identify from where. Moral of the story. Keep your mouth closed and your garage the same. G
