Simple Math - the answer to the suggested equasion is always going to be a small subset of possible numbers - make all these numbers have the same symbol and when you work out your equasion , it ends up having the same symbol [without you knowing the connection of course] Amazing - it can read my mind - wow! LOL

So now what are all the possible answers to the question?

Look at the symbols for 18, 36, 54, 72 - notice the pattern?

What are the other 5 possible answers? - hint - they'll always have the same graphic as the numbers above. LOL

it is simple maths.... there's a really neat solution to it, but I forget exactly what it is....

but try this, take a number, say 86, then make a = 8, and b = 6 - using their formula, the answer should be 72

10a + b - a - b = x
minus out the b's and you get
10a - a = x
minus out one of the a's, and you get
9a = x
so...
9x8 = 72

the symbol is always the first number multiplied by 9 - all they do in the program is put the same graphic where the number is a multiple of 9...
