Anyone know what the switch might be on the right side of my steering wheel. it is mounted under the dash and you can turn it right and lft and has the letter p on it ?

that is the dimmer switch for the dash lights

As Makka said its a dimmer s/w which is used to dim the dash lights.The P stands for "park".My MGB has the same s/w. 8)

No Mine I fixed them By putting on a relay and running a heavy earth wire to each light straight from the battery. Very Bright NOW :lol: :lol:
