Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll get to start pulling apart the K gearbox I'm going to use to replace the Deluxe box currently on the 1100 engine.
I have a spare 3.44 diff.Is it worthwhile putting that in inplace of the 3.76 that currently in it.
At the moment it just seems to be reving a bit too hard for my liking once you get up to 80kph.

Yeah a 3.44 is a good idea. 1098 has no trouble pulling it. Many 998 Clubbies ran a 3.44 too.

Wat sorta RPM does a 3.44 pull at 100km/h?

On my smiths (read 'jumpy') tacho in top it's about 4k...

Personally I think it could run an even taller diff. I think makka was telling me about his old clubby and something like 160km/h @ some insanely low rpm

16.05/16.1mph/1000 rpm with 10" wheels, depending which book you read.
I make it about 4,000 at 100kmh in mine, as Josh says.
So at 110? on the freeway I sit on 4,400. Haven't been pinged yet! (where's me bit o' wood..)

Anonymous moderation means the agro that is built up towards the mods isn't aimed at an individual (fewer "Makk" attacks). Less stress for mods means less moderator "retirements".
