Is the seatbelt law australia wide? I never had problems buying second hand seatbelts from wreckers or recyclers.

Australia wide? As far as I know..... I have no idea. :roll:

This Law is in SA beacuse the seatbelt is said to be stretched/weakened from the impact of an accident (which is why the car is now at a wreckers). The seatbelts are SUPPOSED to be cut in half so no-one can use em.

You could do a search on your government's website.... dont know if that will find anything though.

I've got some retractable ones I pulled out of the Gti. There is a requirement for three mount holes. One at the top. One for the Reel and one for the lapsash. I can only find two holes? Do I need to drill one?

Should be one up near top of B pillar, one at bottom just forward of it, under door- and one on the tunnel, behind handbrake. Same on both sides, of course.. :wink:
