Has anyone got any tips for loosening the clamp bolt right at the bottom of the steering column on the end near the floor? I have taken off the nut, but the bolt and the clamp still wont loosen, and i can't pull it out!!

If you can get a screwdriver to level the steering rack away from the body you might be able to do it. I think thats what I had to do to get mine out.

You are fiddling in a dangerous area....if you don't get it spot on you can end up having a Mini with no steering.....do a search on steering column (its the pinch bolt) etc on Ausmini as this has been covered before. Whatever you do don't depart from the instructions in the manual.

Tap upwards on the under side of the steering wheel boss. A nice block of wood helps to protect it against damage from blows of the BFH.

Edit - that bolt has to be out first
