Can anyone tell me whether these wheels are legal or not

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 72242&rd=1

Its for a road going car. I just think that these would look FAT with some cool flares.

Second question, can you get tyres that are not slicks for these wheels...?

I am sick of waiting for Tempe to get more stock of the Minilites and Mo needs wheels..!!

Looks like the old Tempe tyres trick of machining down a set of standard 10" contessas to make a three peice wheel.

Actually I must have been half asleep when I posted, I actually meant Graham Russell. (Not Tempe Tyres) When I found cracks in my wheels I spoke with him about it and it was a way to repair the race wheels and had been doe by a few mini recers over the years.

How much guard cutting would you need to do do ou think?

OK I am now waiting on the wheels that are always in stock as per the website, to actually be in stock.

I am getting 12x5 with 165/65/12 tyres

I have standard drum front and back and no flares, however they are in the garage to be fitted

1. Will these wheels fit my car (Morris 1965 Mini Deluxe)

2. Will they stick out too far without flares.

3. When I get my discs up front  , will they fit that as well..??

those 3 piece contessa mags are a genuine thing from the 70's. They were quite good quality in their day and they can be modified to suit road use. Try Circle Track at Castle Hill in Sydney. They make up new outer or inner rims to suit these wheels. Get the inner depth, should be around 95mm. Then have the outer made to suite. If you go no wider than 6.5inch should be able to run street tyres on them. I had my 13x10 rims modified to 13x7.5 and cost me $210 per rim but this was with alloy outer and inner and polished outers. Not a bad price I thought. The 10's will stick out a bit past S flares but look SICK MATE!!.
