Well we saw how much a rear louve went for and now a Sports 850 badge is at $357.00 with 10 minutes to go.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... Track=true

Some people have more money than sense.

With prices like that you could make badging cars a full time job..

not that you would see that many sport 850 badges!

That is just incredible.................. for a badge. I don't care how rare it is, it would want to be gold coated for that price

id pay the money in order to get it!! what else do you do?
its not something you would come accross all that often....

Yes your right czerial you'd have to buy it but really are there that many people restoring Sports 850s? Three or four bidders pushed the bids that high.

who cares what it went for...someone was willing to pay that amount. I am pretty sure they weren't held a gunpoint and forced to bid!

Congrats to the seller for making some good ca$h!

For sure! well done to the guy.

But I reckon he could have gotten it custom made from a hand carved cast for that price! then he could have used the die for 1000's more badges of the same type! And probably have money left over for a few beers!

Those badges are rocking horse dung- not many 850 Sports were made and they were custom badges. Can't just buy one in from MiniSpares...
I had a friend who owned an 850 Sports back then. 8)

Tis a lot but if it is whats needed to complete the model....well so be it.

To put it in perspective, look at the prices people pay for numberplates....thousands of dollars for a a sheet of stamped tin.
