Might sound like a silly question but where will I find the fuse box for lights, horn and indicators etc. I have a 1977 clubman.

8) Open the bonnet, on the left side up the top on the firewall, theres a little black plastic rectangular shaped cover. Squeeze and lift.. tada! :)

do you mean on the drivers side directly above the wheel cos there is one there with only two glass cylinder fuses in, I thought there would be blade type fuses somewhere

There is an inline plastic one in the loom near the fusebox, on late Clubbies. Can't remember what it does...
Note that the headlight circuit has no fuses.. I've put a New Era headlamp relay in mine, it comes with 2x 30A blade fuses. $35 at SuperCrap.

Blade fuses did not exist in Oz when Minis were built here!

The inline fuse is for headlights.... when your headlights don't work anymore thats the fuse thats blown. i discovered this 2 days after i bought my first mini... well is was closer to a week before i could suss out what the problem was. It was well hidden....
I agree with doc, get one of the ERA relays, i have one in my van and have halogen headlights to boot! I can see!!!! And Safley too!!!!!!!

Cheers

Aaron

I Put a relay on mine years ago and yep Better Lights and can see.

Also on Clubbies and Mini K's the Dipper switch on the steering cloum can cause the lights not to work or only hav High beam or low beam.

That's the best reason for a headlamp relay- it reduces the current thru both the headlamp switch and the dipper, from 10A (or more) to less than 1A.

It's the high current that burns out the dipper switch... and they ain't cheap! :x

Some time you can fix them but very rarely
