are you guna be doing the paint yourself or are you getting a place to do it
if you do it at home with a spray gun (good quality)and an air compressor it would be the cost of the gun and the paint but to get a place to do it you are looking at around about 1000 or so i think at a rough guess

yeah i painted a mini for about $150 bucks or so on materials and borrowed a compressor...
it is a LOT of work. It takes a long time to prepare the body and paintwork, and you have to get the compressor pressure correct and maintain that pressure, keep the paint mixed the same amount every time you fill the gun and go a panel at a time..
I couldnt do the roof properly cos the compressor wouldnt maintain enough pressure and the angle was just awful. I had paint dripping off the gun etc.

i recommend buying a #$!%load of spraycan's and doing it that way, the paint is all the same mixture and the pressure is consistent. It will probably cost the same or a little bit more.

Hi,
Had a quote very recently for the outside of the car only, however this includes the inside of door, boot and bonnet gutters. .The car is pretty straight, I was quoted $1800.00 for 2pack paint.

I used 5 litres of Grp 3 colour on JAM. $240

4 litres of primer filler - $100

2 litres of etch primer - $45

20 litres of thinners - $80 ? (can't remember)

Around $400 all up

All quality brand items.

So will you be available for a respray when the orange beast becomes red and white??

There will be food and refreshing beverages available at all mini working bees when I get into the new house (alcohol only served after work is done or maybe quality not so good :? )

Don't worry - it will be some time down the track the way our house is progressing (or not progressing!!! )
