I think Poeee is correct. The standard Paul Smith colour scheme did not include the green stripes, sportspack arches or green chequers on the roof. It did have a green map of UK on the grille, green rocker cover and a green glovebox interior. Dark grey/gun metal grey Minilite style wheels as well. My personal opinion is that for a special limited edition Mini it is a bit bland. I tend to agree with Jan (to a point) I like things that are a bit different. I don't think I would have gone the green chequers on the roof for myself, but it is OK to look at. I do like all the chrome goodies on the car, the mirrors and wheels, and the sportspack arches. There is a standard one featured in Mini Magazine, September 1999, page 112. (okay its a competitor magazine now, but I can handle it)
Now for the colour - it is called Paul Smith Blue. Oh dear! Maybe you could find out from British Motor Heritage in the UK the colour code. I don't know, but that would be my best guess. Check out http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/ and maybe email them for info. Try hmcarch@heritage-motor-centre.co.uk for archives, or enquiries@heritage-motor-centre.co.uk for general info
Cheers, Watto.

Ooh! nearly forgot.
Mini special models in Australia. Don't forget, in Australia there was a Mini Clubman, but all other models did not include the Clubman name. So, they were:
Mini S (ran for a number of years and not really a limited edition),
Mini SS (1976 - story I have heard is that there was a severe hail storm in Sydney which damaged 400-odd Minis in the holding yard at Zetland. The cars had their bonnets replaced and roofs covered with vinyl - why so many of them rusted - and the cars were tarted up with Contesta - note correct spelling please- wheels and other goodies and sold as a limited edition),
Mini LS (1977-78), 998cc engine, drum brakes, dress up pack only),
Mini 1275 LS (1978 only, about 1,000 made?, two colours only - Nugget Gold and Hi-ho silver - 8" disc brakes, 1275cc engine with single HS4 1.5" carb)
Mini Sunshine (what year? My wife Jayne had a Sunshine with typical 1970's style pop-up glass roof, but I've also been told they came only with slide-back glass sunroof. More details please?)
Now, what about Morris Mini Minor (Aussie version) not a limited edition as such but very rare. (Basically a Morris 850 with the doors from the De Luxe. 1965-69?, 850cc engine, floor start button).
Clubman GT (1971-1972, about 1,000 made, early ones had Cooper S 9F engines, later ones had 1200 or 1201 numbered 1275cc engines, Cooper S running gear, disc brakes, better interior than a Cooper S and tacho as standard. Tacho is red lined at 6,500rpm - not 5,500 like S and LS models - 120 mp/h speedo)
Don't forget Moke Californian (also called Export model) (1971-1973, about 1,000 built, 1275cc engine, drum brakes, rear-mounted fuel tank, side lights in wheel arches.
Moke Californian (1977-8, 998cc engine, drum brakes, denim hood and seats, white bullbar and rear bumper, white Sunrasia spoked wheels rear bench seat optional)
Moke Californian 1275 (1980 - 1981, 1275cc, 8" disc brakes, otherwise as per 998 Californian)
Moke Pickup (1975 - 1980? Special tray fitted to body, special short soft roof)
Moke 4x4 - 2 only protoypes built - first one disassembled to build second one. Second one now in Perth undergoing restoration)
Ultra-Moke. (one-off fibreglass-bodied show car, circa 1979? Anybody know what happened to it?)

Cheers, Watto.

It would have been in the yard at Enfield as Zetland was gone by then.

I remember the big storm. Lots of damage in the area around Enfield, Flemington, Lidcombe, Auburn, etc. Capitol motors had a lot of Datsuns damaged, so if you see a 180B with a vinyl roof you know what happened!

same as that whopper hail storm that hit the airport and surrounding burbs in 1999(?). I was in the middle of that one...OMG!

None of the car yards went as low as putting vinyl roofs on their damaged stock though....
