Sepia would also be nice.
With a HUGE gum tree in the background.
And longish dry grass in some dirt.
And a river.

well there you go...I was picturing that, but never knew it was called Sepia.

I'll give it a whirl. It's a good look for period style photos.

Don't wanna sound anal, but can't take it to Ausmini run if it's on club rego. How about we get all the Ausmini Guys along to a MCC run, or even to a GM for its triumphant debut??

Not sure what the restrictions are on club plates in NSW. They are different in each state. Vic restrictions suck. SA ones are heaps better. Don't know about NSW.

As far as I understand it if you can't prove you're on a club outing, getting some work done on your car (within 8km from home) or going for a rego check you're pretty well screwed. There's still plenty of scope for club outings though, as I think it included any CMC affiliated club event that our club is invited to so you can still pretty much take your car out most weekends if you want as well as two Fridays a month to meetings.

Disclaimer : This is my understanding, not official rules. they are on http://www.miniclub.com.au

Well our 'God' must have hosted the pic for a whole 2 minutes.....it's gone now..... GRRRRR!

Anyway, I know where ur coming from......

RE:Club Plates....yea it's restricted...and probably not everyones cup of tea.....but from my perspective, Pops is an old man, and if driven daily he will cark it! A couple of good outings a month will suit fine.....plus Club Plate rego is DIRT CHEAP!

well...the paint on the hood, oh....er.....excuse me, bonnet, is straight off the gun  I put 4 coats on it after work today. I prepped and primed it last weekend.

The paint match is a little :? . It is crystal white, but it appears to have a slight green tint to it. Paint changes colour as it dries, so lets hope ey.....

To be honest Aaron, I think the mismatch will be noticeable.....but hey, the majority of the cars paint is 35 years old....very hard to match!

Mat black would look mad on a sleeper, but not on a dignified old man like Pops 8)

Pics please anton when finished 8) ............ want to see the old digger with his new hat on :D

New hat will be on this weekend, plus nicely painted rims (I hope - time permitting) 8)

ON club plates you can drive it as far as you want to have it serviced if noted in day book by registrar. If not further than 8 km not necessary to notify registrar. If you need petrol and within 8km of place of gagarging or need to bed in newly adjusted brakes or take for service run no need to notify registrar. If attending CMC event published in East West magazine eg swap meet also no need to inform registrar. Just carry certificate of operations, MCC membership card and copy of east west magazine for police if stopped. You can also be a member of several CMC affiliated clubs apart from primary club and attend their events aswell.

Plenty of oportunity to drive you club plate car. Enjoy Pops
