good question! all of my cars have had different keys for the boot, doors and ignition, but the same keys would work on all the cars

depends on how worn the locks are, and if they are original for the car I guess...

Pops has the same key for doors, ignition and boot! 8) This is how it should be.

On another note, I bought a clubby ignition from kazjim's garage sale. It came with key (and a spare boot key). Well what do you know.....that boot key that came with it fits a spare Deluxe / K ignition switch I had, that had no key! How lucky was that!

The same key works for the boot and both doors on my clubman, I am not sure about the fuel cap as anything will open it  Oh ignition is a different key :D

If you want all your keys the same take the locks out that you want changed, along with the key you want to open it, to a locksmith and they should be able to change it for you.

Mine didn't cost very much but then my old man was friends with the locksmith guy. :D

Doogie had his wifes clubby keyed alike and it cost him about $80 for the doors and boot. Ignition is different on a clubby.

I reckon it can be done cheaper.......Parramatta Locksmiths charge $22 per lock, to key alike.

My door, boot and ignition were all different so I removed the locks from the door and boot and adjusted tumblers around until all 3 worked on the same key.It helped having a couple of spare locks to pinch some different size tumblers from.

When I replaced the door locks and boot handle on my Mini K I had all my re-keyed to match the ignition, now one key opens all.

Any good locksmith should be able to do this for you but be prepared to pay at least $50.

The key that opens the doors and boot on my 1275 LS opens the doors and boot, and starts the ignition on Mike's (dr trim) flippa! He can't start my car tho, cause clubby's have a different key for iginition, muhahahaha!

Me too..
About to change this nighmare for hopefully just one key.
As I only got one set when I bought this Mini I ended up going to five locksmiths to find someone who could match a blank to cut for the ignition. They said it was a strange aftermarket (by GSS). The blank is mirror reverse to what Morris uses and slightly longer. If anyone has this trouble with a Rover tell them just to use an NE38 (Silca) blank, slightly shorter, but works. AND save hours.
