Back then it was still possible to run your own car and be competitive, I started to get into the top ten, then decided to build a new car from a new 'Rover Motoresport' shell, that's when I ran out of money! It's easy for that kind of thing to take over your life!
Ask the wife!!

A certain Bill Sollis was the man to beat then, I never did do that, but I remember finishing in seventh place at Brands and being able to see Bill take take the chequer!!

Now it's just for fun! although I have just bought another ! sports sedan!

This is my current hillclimber / racer...

an early 850 body...very nice Graham...very nice.

Now...what does the Flip Front have under the bonnet!! 8)

I'm told it's a 1408 or 1412, has a stroker crank, O-ringed head, S/C Box, Sailsbury LSD (GULP!) Big weber on it and Camira discs

It is in storage at the moment, while my new shed is completed......grrrr Builders!

Yes Mick! went with the mdc boys, Dr Mini, James and Oz etc in my road car, then did a 'supermini' round in the white car, will definately get there with the sports sedan when my shed is done and I can check the car over! :)
