If you go that wide wouldn't you need a smaller profile?

I am buying 195 wide tyres and their suggested rim size is 7" but would fit anything from 6-1/2 to 7-1/2 so they say.

Can't see how a 235 would fit on a 7".

a friend has 175/50/13's on hes 7 inch wide rims, fit nice. I dont think 235's will fit on, may need an 8 inch rim.

We have one up here with 215/50/13's on 6in rims, a bit of o tight fit they do fit so i'd say 235's would fit on 7's

<------I just tried a set of 13x7's with 225-50-13's on em. And i say, unless you are going to cut your guards away, DONT BOTHER!!!!!

These tyres were SO wide and SO big in diameter, i needed to jack the mini up just to roll on em. And forget steering..... i could only turn the steering wheel 1/4 of a turn each way before the tyres got wedged on something....

The tyres stuck 40mm out past my 4 inch wide arches, so i'm guessing 6 inch wide custom arches or a FORTECH bodykit would be required to overcome this..

A 40-profile tyre would suit better, or stick with 175's or 195's....

here's my pics.... ( yes they are racing slicks too  )

Might have been a good idea if you had told us it wasn't for a mini in the first place :?

I was running 235/55/13 Bridgstone Eager SF330's on my Gemini, it only had 6 1/2 in rims. They were fine, never had any dramas. They are a very big tyre though. Good luck.

Well funnily enought that was because I mentioned to a moderator that I thought it belonged somewhere other than General Discussion because it was mini related. I suggested that someone wanting to know that a tyre would fit a mini rim should be mini related.

I guess I jumped to too many conclusions.

Next time I'll think before I jump in.
