A couple of years ago we saw the Webasto electric version on show at the Motorshow in Melbourne and prices them, about $1800.00 fitted.

I have a friend who has a British Open Classic which is standard with one of these. Never leaks, very nice.

Guys
I fitted the webasto to sg's car.The one fitted is brand new old stock. The car originally had a webasto fitted to it prior to the rebuild, and I still have this one if anyone is interested. The one I fitted to slidey is a 1980's version but I have the original early 1960-1970 version here. It is in good condition for its age and looks almost identical. There is a small strip of aluminium missing from it that is a trim piece but could be made up if you are handy, and all the bolts were pretty average so they need replacing. The rubber pinch weld was perished but I bought new stuff for sg's webasto for about $30 at a rubber supply place. They are pretty easy to fit if you take your time, so if you are interested pm me. Wouldnt want much for it, it is just sitting around and I wont use it.

Hey Will, Steve has one in the lunch room. Go and have a look at it. I was eyeing it off today aswell  8) Didnt ask a price though.

Yes, legally, the roof also needs steel re-enforcing when installing a sunroof.

Old thread I know, but I am wondering how hard it would be to install one of the glass clubby sunroofs?

Cutting the roof doesn't bother me if the end result looks schmick i am happy. Are you saying you removed your sunroof and fixed the hole?

I believe the ADR's require you to install additional bracing in the roof aswell, because when you cut the roof it loses its strength.

You'll need to check the Government's vehicle modification regulations regarding sunroofs in your particular state. Some states are more strict than others.
