For those trying to view on an iPad or other device that won't let you rotate the image, here it is the right way up. :)

Made up a set of plug leads using NOS Champion WC 187 plug caps, as per the 1967 Mini brochure engine bay pic, - Very happy!

That's not the only problem.

I got in the car to drive it to work today and blow out the cobwebs. Unfortunately the brake pedal went straight to the floor! Further investigation is needed when I get home this afternoon...

Last update was a while ago but gaining traction now that work and life is settling down a bit.

Finished installing new donuts, Hilos and shocks front and rear. Cleaned inner guards and treated to a coat of paint. Regreased upper arm pivots. Starred building front hubs ready to do the disc conversion ...

Lost many kilos of skin and blood in the process, microhands required!!

Stripped all the stinking electrical tape off the front loom after fixing the interior light. Tightened the loops and tucks and tucked in the excess, wrapped it all in self bonding silicone tape. New spades all round. Looks much better!

If I'm carrying on like a pork-chop, I'm having a great time.

If I go very quiet there's a very good chance I broke something.

I picked up the Moke from Matt Read who has rebuilt the motor and box and done a few other things. Today I did an oil change on it and fixed the broken two-stalk column switches. I'm a little bit excited, now I can go cruising again without clouds of blue smoke, puddles of oil and a blowing exhaust.

I also spent several hours doing paintwork on the dark blue 850. That thing is going to be well sorted soon, shame it will have to go. Matt said the engine is second in line so the time is now for anyone who wants an 850 that is fully rebuilt to choose the specs of the 1275.

Having one of my 5 1275 engines running really well has really lifted my enthusiasm level!

M

Went to move it out of way, Doh, flat battery! Spider's have been running their homes on it I bet.
Might sell it, It's a shame seeing it that way.
